About these terms

These terms apply to all events, workshops, and programmes run by Kindling by Shawna LLC ("we", "us", "Kindling"), a company registered in California. By registering for an event or creating an account on this website, you agree to these terms.

Event registration

• Registration is personal and non-transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• For free events, your seat is held once registration is confirmed. We may hold a card on file to discourage no-shows; see the specific event page for any no-show fee terms.
• For paid events, your seat is confirmed only upon successful payment. Placing on a waitlist does not create a payment obligation.
• We will notify you of event details (venue address, logistics) after your registration is confirmed. Details are not shared publicly.

Cancellation and refunds

General rules apply to all events unless a specific programme states otherwise below:

• Cancellations made at least 4 hours before the event start time are eligible for a full refund (where payment was made).
• No-shows and late cancellations are generally non-refundable.
• If Kindling cancels an event, all registrants will receive a full refund within 5 business days.
• Waitlisted participants are not charged and have no cancellation obligation.

Magnum Opus Amsterdam Lab: your seat is confirmed on payment. Cancel at least 48 hours before the Lab for a full refund. No-shows are non-refundable.

Participant conduct and right to refuse entry

Our events are designed to be safe, focused, and generative spaces. All participants are expected to treat others — and the facilitator — with respect.

Kindling by Shawna LLC reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from, any event any person whose behaviour poses a risk to the safety, wellbeing, or experience of other participants or the organiser. This includes but is not limited to threatening, harassing, or disruptive behaviour, intoxication, or any conduct that undermines the integrity of the event. This right may be exercised before or during the event, at the sole discretion of the organiser.

Removal from an event does not automatically entitle the removed participant to a refund. Refunds in such cases are at the discretion of Kindling by Shawna LLC.

Payments

• Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy apply to payment transactions. We do not store card details.
• All prices shown are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Currency is as stated on the event page. For Amsterdam events, prices are in Euros (€).

Intellectual property

All content created and shared by Shawna Snow or Kindling by Shawna LLC during events — including frameworks, models, written materials, and facilitation approaches — remains the intellectual property of Kindling by Shawna LLC. You may apply learnings in your own practice; you may not reproduce or resell event content without written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Kindling by Shawna LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in an event or use of this website. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from an event shall not exceed the amount you paid for that event.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Ventura County, California, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
